The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements, verifies transactions, analyzes cash flow, oversees audits, monitors internal controls, audits credit card expenses, and prepares regulatory reports.
- Processes accounts payable.
- Prepares financial statements, tax documents, including W-2’s, and 1099’s.
- Prepares timely 5500 reporting documents.
- Analyzes financial reports and maintains account and bank balances.
- Prepares audit documents, assists with payroll taxes, general ledger management.
- Month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepares requested reports from Vice President of Operations.
- Verify and transport deposits to bank daily.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Function as backup for employee and contractor payroll in absence of HR Generalist.
- Attend Clinical Supervisor and/or Admin meetings as requested by CEO.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required; master’s degree a plus but not required. 5+ years of experience as an accountant. Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software required. Credible/Qualifacts electronic medical record experience is a plus but not required.
