Crisis Response Team Coordinator/MHP

The Crisis Response Team Coordinator (CRTC) will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all after-hours crisis services per company policy that originate from calls coming through the Answering Service and will be available for consultation for crisis services during regular business hours.

The Mental Health Professional (MHP) will be responsible for providing functions related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned clients, to include intake assessment, individual/family therapy, group services, and crisis interventions both on-site and off-site.

Crisis Response Team Coordinator:

  1. Has strong working knowledge regarding current policy related to Emergency Mental Health Services Policy, especially After-Hours Crisis Response protocol.
  2. Participates in planning and continuous development of Emergency Mental Health Services Policy and flow process.
  3. Assists with the development and delivery of After-Hours Crisis Response Team training and continuing education.
  4. Recruits Lead MHPs for Team 1 and On-Call MHPs for Teams 2-4.
  5. Completes a monthly schedule for After-Hours Crisis Response Teams 1-4 and distributes to all team members and Clinical Supervisors.
  6. Holds quarterly Crisis Response Team meetings for all Lead MHPs in Team 1.
  7. Communicates as needed with Lead MHPs in Team 1 and On-Call MHPs in Teams 2-4.
  8. Communicates as needed with Clinical Supervisors, medical staff, and other staff to ensure appropriate delivery of emergency services including after-hours services.
  9. Daily reviews emergency services documentation including On Call notes and Answering Service logs to ensure proper response and documentation.
  10. Available as needed to provide guidance and support regarding appropriate crisis response.
  11. Develops professional working relationships with all Victim Assistance Coordinators in each county to ensure continuity of care when we utilize our Involuntary Commitment Procedures.
  12. Puts his/herself on the monthly on-call schedule to participate as a Lead MHP on Team 1.
  13. Maintains Excused Leave Log.

Mental Health Professional:

  1. Maintains 62.5% direct service requirement. (Will utilize Excused Leave under the direction of Clinical Supervisor and or Director of Clinical Operations regarding time spent as CRTC.)
  2. Provides direct mental health services (intake assessment, individual/family therapy, group,
  3. crisis interventions) to assigned clients.
  4. Provides services at approved locations as determined by clinical need.
  5. Completes master treatment plans annually and treatment plan updates every ninety days.
  6. Completes documentation required by Managed Care and/or private insurance for approval of service reimbursement.
  7. Furnishes required reports to DCFS, legal system and other involved agencies.
  8. Attends clinic meetings and treatment team staffings.
  9. Provides complete and timely documentation to support services rendered.
  10. Testifies in court as required.

A master’s degree from an accredited University or College in social work, psychology, or counseling and licensed as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Arkansas with one year of supervised psychiatric experience.
