Medical Director

The Medical Director will supervise all prescribers (MD’s, APRN’s) as well as administering policies procedures relating to all medical services within the organization. 

Details

1. Provide professional medical services on a full-time basis to all clients at the Clinics (ages will be limited to 18 and older unless Medical Director agrees otherwise). The provision of services requires, on average, at least forty (40) hours per week to be generally divided among the Clinics in the proportions indicated by Employer. Medical Director acknowledges that actual requirements and hours may exceed this amount. Drive time to and from clinics, Jonesboro clinic excluded, will be calculated as part of the workday utilizing Jonesboro, AR as base of operations.

2. Provide psychiatric coverage, either personally or by planning for appropriate substitute coverage, after regular business hours for clients in coordination with Employer. Coverage may be provided, where appropriate and reasonable, via telephone or other electronic means. This requirement is consistent among all Providers employed by Employer.

3. Maintain appropriate records, through the procedure reasonably determined by Employer, on a timely basis relating to all professional medical services rendered by Medical Director under the Agreement in accordance with all applicable record keeping and reporting requirements (all of which shall be and remain the property or in the possession of Employer).

4. Providing professional medical services and performing professional duties in accordance with applicable law and with the current medical standards of the community.

5. Observe and comply with all reasonable policies, procedures, rules and regulations of Employer now in force or as may hereafter be adopted or amended from time to time by the Chief Executive Officer of Employer, whether written or oral.

6. Comply with any quality assurance or improvement programs reasonably established by Employer.

7. Hire, supervise, collaborate with, and train any nurse practitioners or other medical staff reasonably assigned to Medical Director by Employer.

8. Serve as an active member of the Administration Team. 
 

Requirements

EDUCATION
Licensed as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy within the State of Arkansas.  Psychiatry specialization required.

JOB SKILLS
Required: Ability to retain confidentiality; effectively communicate with clients, clinical staff, support and administrative staff.

Preferred: Proficient computer skills; excellent spelling and grammar skills.
