Administrative Assistant - Floater

The Administrative Assistant Float/Medical Records is responsible for Administrative Assistant duties, scanning medical records charts and processing requests for information at various Families, Inc. clinics as assigned.

  1. Represent Families, Inc. in person, over the telephone and in the community in a professional manner.
  2. Processes release of information requests in a timely manner using the client contact section of the electronic medical record to monitor the requests. 
  3. Facilitates client discharge instructions, two-week discharge letters, and PCP progress summaries in the electronic medical record, as applicable. 
  4. Responsible for maintaining medical records for the outpatient clinic.
  5. Attaches documentation to client’s electronic medical record via scanning.
  6. Updates assigned reports as needed. 
  7. Maintains necessary quantities of paper forms in designated area.
  8. Processes release of information requests in a timely manner using the client contact section of the electronic medical record to monitor the requests.
  9. Travel is required.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

The Administrative Assistant must have one year of experience in an office environment. Healthcare office environment experience is preferred.
