Susan Francis, LPE-I, LPC
Susan Oldham is a Licensed Psychological Examiner-Independent, and Licensed Professional Counselor that has served the Mississippi County area through the Osceola clinic since January 2007.
After serving as a Special Education teacher for 19 years in the Gosnell Public School systems, Susan transitioned into the mental health field. She has worked for a length of time with the Headstart system, and provided individual, family and group therapy in the school setting, homes and in the clinic. As a LPE she has participated in the standarization of nationally published assessments and as a trainer for two of the assessment tools. She has conducted assessments for children with ADHD, Autism/Asperger's Syndrome, dyslexia, specific learning disabilities, mental retardation, developmental delay, personality disorders, and depression.
Susan feels her experiences have allowed her to be empathetic with the teachers since she has walked in their shoes, empathetic in the mental health field as she currently works in this setting, and also empathetic with parents as she had children who experienced difficulties in school.
Susan received her Bachelor's from Arkansas State University in Education/Speech Pathology; Master's in Special Education/Area of Mildy Handicapped and Master's in Special Education/Moderate to Profoundly Handicapped from ASU, and her Specialist in Education/Counselor in Education-Psycho Educational Diagnosis from ASU.
