Jessica Shelton joined Families, Inc. in August 2020 as a mental health professional serving Weiner Elementary as a school-based therapist. While continuing to serve that school, she added the role of Crisis Response Team Coordinator in 2021.
As CRTC, she is responsible for a team of therapists that handle the after-hours crisis services throughout our organization. She recruits participants, develops and assists with training, sets the schedules and provides continuing education. Additionally, Jessica develops professional working relationships with hospital personnel as well as inpatient mobile assessors.
Jessica received a Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Arkansas State University. Prior to joining Families, Inc. she worked with another provider for ten years as a therapist, a mental health case manager and most recently as Senior Mental Health Professional (MHP) where she oversaw crisis incidents.
