Dr. Sharon Curtis, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, joined Families, Inc. in March, 2009, after serving first as a staff psychiatrist beginning in 1999 and then Medical Director for the Atlanta Counseling Center, in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Lincoln University in Jefferson, Missouri, she achieved her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, in Columbia, Missouri. She completed her General Psychiatry Residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. She is Board Certified in both programs.

Dr. Curtis has spoken at a number of professional conferences and has been actively involved in women's ministries and mentoring. She is married to Gerald Dukes and they live in the community of Sherwood. She currently serves the Searcy and Jacksonville outpatient clinics.
