As Director of Marketing with Families, Inc., Dawn Layer is responsible for overseeing marketing, public relations, and advertising for the ten outpatient clinics and the counties they serve.  In addition to business development, Dawn creates the artwork for all marketing efforts and coordinates special events, both externally and internally.

Although she received her B.S. in Business, with an emphasis in Human Resources from Arkansas State University, she has spent her entire career in the marketing field.  Dawn has marketed for a variety of industries including financial, non-profit, and manufacturing, but has primarily focused on healthcare.  Prior to joining Families, Inc. in May, 2003, she ran her own consulting business, Layer Creative Services, where she created marketing plans and spearheaded advertising efforts for a number of companies of all sizes. 

Dawn is Chair of the ASU Committee of the Greater Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce and President of the American Advertising Federation-Northeast Arkansas Chapter (AAF-NEA) . She is also serving on the advisory board of the Schmieding Home Caregiver Program.

Dawn and her husband, Dennis, have one daughter, Callie, who attends Pharmacy School at UAMS in Little Rock. They are members of First United Methodist Church.
