Dr. Mervin Leader joined Families, Inc. in August, 2007. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, licensed in Arkansas, St. Kitts/Nevis, Indiana, and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Leader began his practice in Indiana. He provided services in inpatient, outpatient and private practice settings, as well as served as Medical Director of Psychiatry and VIce Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at the Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. In St. Kitts and Nevis he served as a Psychiatrist for the Ministry of Health. In addition, he has lectured in Behavioral Medicine for the Windsor University School of Medicine in St. Kitts.
A graduate of York College in Jamaica, N.Y. with his bachelor's in physics, Dr. Leader received his Medical Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, KY. His internships and residency took place at the Long Island Jewish Hillside Medical Center, Queens Hospital Center in New York City.
Dr. Leader and his wife Kelly reside in Jonesboro with their son, Tayshaun. He currently serves the Paragould, Walnut Ridge, and Osceola outpatient clinics. |
