Ethics in Mental Health
Jason Turner, LMSW

“Ethics in Mental Health” will define ethics for professionals in the field of mental health. In addition, this session will provide an overview of theories and models of ethical practice, and will include a discussion of ethical issues in mental health such as confidentiality, HIPAA, informed consent, and standards of practice and care.
Jason Turner has held a variety of roles at Families, Inc before being named Clinical Supervisor of the Trumann outpatient clinic since June, 2008. He began in mid 2001 as a Case Manager, then served as the Administrator of both the Day Treatment program and Residential Care Facility prior to serving as the Business Development Coordinator. A graduate of Williams Baptist College with his B.S. in Psychology, Jason earned his master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Arkansas - Little Rock with a management and community practice concentration.

Effective Interventions in Couples/Marital Therapy
Jeff Cline, LPC


“Effective Interventions in Couples/Marital Therapy” will provide an overview of the major theoretical approaches in working with couples/marriage populations with a special emphasis on effective interventions and outcomes. Other areas to be addressed include: research/dispelling of intervention myths, working with diverse cultural/ethnic groups, and moral/ethical concerns.

Jeff Cline, (LPC) is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arkansas and has MA in Counseling from Harding University Graduate School of Religion in Memphis, TN. Mr. Cline serves as the Clinical Coordinator of Better Life Counseling Center and also works as a therapist with Families Inc. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Arkansas Counseling Association and is Prepare/Enrich Certified.
