Managing Misbehavior in Children: Foundations for Change

Dr. Davis will present an overview of behavior change tactics focused giving parents the tools they need to manage child misbehavior. He will discuss his non-technical, common sense approach to helping parents manage child misbehavior while remaining mindful of both family norms and the child’s mental health needs. This presentation is designed for mental health professionals that feel overwhelmed by client misbehavior and limited in what can be achieved through traditional out-patient counseling.

Dr. Mike Davis joined Families, Inc. in August, 2008 after four years with the Child & Youth Development Center in Jonesboro. In his practice, he provides individual and family therapy, educational and clinical assessments, mental health and behavioral consultation, and crisis management. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arkansas State University in 1997, Davis earned his Doctor of Philosophy in School Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas in 2004.
