Families, Inc. Counseling Services is a private counseling agency accredited by the Joint Commission for Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) with outpatient facilities throughout Northeast and North Central Arkansas. We offer a variety of therapeutic services to aid individuals and families through their most difficult and challenging times. Since our beginning in late 1999 we have taken the unique approach of providing services in the client’s home or school, unless the outpatient clinic is more appropriate.

Individual, couple, and family therapy is available for children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing emotional and behavioral problems. Through therapeutic services, the individual will receive emotional support, work to resolve conflicts with people, understand feelings and problems, and try out new solutions to old problems. Goals for therapy may be specific (change in behavior, improved relations with friends or family), or more general (less anxiety, better self-esteem). In some cases, in conjunction with therapy, Families, Inc. provides intensive case management services to the individual to enable him or her to remain in their home, school and community while receiving services. The length of therapeutic services depends on the complexity and severity of problems. No referral is required.

Individuals may call the office directly to request services by calling 870-425-1041. Physicians, social service organizations, and school personnel may also make a referral by calling, or faxing the referral to 870-425-1049. We also now offer the convenience of requesting services through our website.

Welcome to Families, Inc. Since our founding in 1999, our mission has guided our work with children, adults and their families. We are an institution with a rich history of high ideals, moral convictions, a commitment to social justice and faith in the goodness of others.

As stated in our Mission, one of our primary goals is to help each member of the family unit to teach their highest potential.

At Families, Inc. we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government.
