CLINICAL ASSISTANT - No positions open at this time
Description:
The Clinical Assistant has primary responsibilities to include obtaining vital signs of clients, coordinating medication management issues and infection control oversight for the organization.  The Clinical Assistant is not responsible for supervision of other staff.
Requirements:
       The Clinical Assistant must possess a high-school diploma or GED and must be trained as a Mental Health Para-Professional. We provide an excellent 40-hour Para-Professional Training Program during your first week of work. We prefer that you possess an LPN licensure and experience within the mental healthcare industry.
Details:
1.      Obtains vital signs from clients and enters them into the medical record.
2.      Completes required paperwork to document direct services provided to clients.
3.      Serves as a liaison between client and doctor for medication questions and refills.
4.      Assists client and family members with understanding of medications.
5.      Coordinates the distribution of medicine samples and maintains an accurate inventory of these distributions.
6.      Processes prescription requests in accordance to company policy
7.      Compare clinic medication log, doctor/APN orders, and prescriptions as evidenced by random chart audits.
8.      Serves as the primary support to all Clinical Assistants in resolving medication issues.
9.      Serves as primary contact for infection control issues, providing instruction during orientation and ensuring that company is current with related policies and procedures.
10. Presents information in MHPP training related to commonly prescribed medications in mental health care.
