Calvin Moore-Smith, LPC named Lonoke County Clinical Supervisor

Calvin Moore-Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been promoted to Clinical Supervisor for the Lonoke County Team. Calvin graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas in 2010 with a MS in Rehabilitation Counseling.  Calvin joined Families in August of 2018 after serving in several capacities in San Diego, CA ; an Assistance Director of a community mental health program and Child and Youth Services program. Calvin began his career in the mental health field in October 2000 in a community mental health program where he served in several capacities; case manager, therapist and director of the Assertive Community Treatment program.

Calvin has certifications in Domestic Counseling, Anger Management, LGBTQ and Trans Youth Counseling and is efficient in Dialectical and Cognitive Behavior therapeutic approaches. Calvin has received extensive training in Substance Abuse and Bullying Prevention. He is a certified Motivational Interviewing specialist and was responsible for familiarizing mental health professionals with this counseling approach.

Calvin is a military spouse and resides in Little Rock where he attends St Mark Baptist Church, is a member of the sanctuary choir and Rites of Passage Mentorship program. He loves lifting weights, hiking, traveling and spending time with friends.
